To me, it just feels better than the Nova. I came across it used and the price was right and it just felt more solid. I do believe that the 'basic' foundation of the gun and that of the Ithaca 37 were from JMB's design.I like the benelli but its noticeably heavier. It is also finished the best of the other two. Rounded edges, thicker barrel, fit and feel is the best as well. If I could only pick one, id keep the mossberg 835. Both are reliable and as far as finish goes you can clean the Mossberg if it starts to rust. I use both for upland and I think the Benelli feels slightly lighter or at least less front heavy.
