Toyota rav4 not starting no crank.

7 posts · Joined 2015. #1 · Jan 9, 2016. got the car in october, was leased 9 months by the first owner. 5800 miles at purchase. intermittent starting issues that occur almost daily mostly to me, key NOT pushbutton. no one has an answer as to why this happens to just me or my husband and rarely anyone else ?MEMBER. 2007 TOYOTA RAV4. 6 CYL. 2WD. AUTOMATIC. 62,000 MILES. Hello: My 2007 Toyota RAV4 cranks for a long time before it starts on the initial start then seems to start easier after that. I was scheduling the 60K maintenance and didn't see a tune up in the maint manual at 60K.Usually, the Toyota RAV4 ignition gets locked when you turn the tires after you switch off the vehicle. To unlock, insert the key in the ignition, push the start button, and turn the steering wheel in the same direction it locked. Jiggle the key to loosen the wheel and start the car.Put the newly cleaned positive terminal back on first, then move to the ground side. Once the corrosion is cleaned, put the battery terminals back on the posts and see if your Rav4 starts. If it does, make sure to let it run for a bit just in case the battery isn't fully charged before shutting your vehicle off. 2.Turn the car key to the engine START position and DON'T LET IT GO. Hold the key at ignition. The engine will turn once and twice, and after a few seconds, your Highlander will start. However, please do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds at a time. It may overheat the starter and wiring system.

However, when it cools down it will restart and run just fine. This issue began after the recall was done to the engine for excessive oil consumption.

Got the RAV4 fixed and it was the battery. The dealership gave me a Toyota Premium COPBS-8424F battery to replace the original one and they look different. Come to think that I might have seen a tell tale sign of the battery dying last winter, when there were couple of instances that the car would crank hard to start in some not too cold mornings.

No crank no start. Hello there! Good day. I've got this thumb start Toyota Camry 2008, and it's got an electrical problem. There is one of it's starter relay fuse that has in it, one of it positive sides tripping off during the cause of ignition, that is trying to start the car. The whole system doesn't even crank talk less of to start.
