Guns have great potential when you. 1) Have the police officer occupation. 2) Have the Brave trait. 3) Aren't running around like a maniac panicking (unless you down beta blockers) 4) Give your character time to aim. 5) Give your character time in between shots for the recoil. Generally I'll use my shotgun when.

yea, it's just a game mechanic called meta events. sometimes you can hear people getting eaten by zombies, sometimes some cows would moo and random gunshots. unfortunately, i haven't seen any visible sign of these events like the corpse of whoever got eaten, etc.Zombies will follow the sound of the gunshot (naturally). So there is likely to be a horde moving in your local area. Depending on the noise made in your base and the type of base you have will have a chance that those zombies will attack it. Ever since I started my current single player world, I've been hearing random explosions. They happen at random at any time and I hear them like they're right next to me. Zombies don't seem to be affected by the noise because when it happens they don't go towards it. Any ideas on what it is?
