Lug nut torque. Just wondering if anyone has rotated their tires at home instead of taking it in to the dealer. If so, what torque are you using for your lug nuts. The online service manual calls for 165 lbs.-ft for F-250/350 with 8 lugs. The owners manual calls for 150 lbs.-ft.

Remember to use a star type pattern so the wheel will be tightened evenly. Apply a small amount of oil to the washer of the lug nut only to keep it free moving.

I am sitting here looking right at my 1977 Ford Truck Shop Manual and it states F100 through F250 with 1/2-20 lugs 90 ft-lbs. F350 with 9/16-18 lugs 135 ft-lbs single wheel and 210 ft-lbs for dual wheels.
