Lookup failed fallout 4 - I have the thing working pretty much just how I want it and while this is an annoyance, I'd much rather deal with it than have to start over again. Back up your current files under the Strings folder, delete them and verify integrity with Steam to recover the vanilla files. Excellent. I believe that worked. Thanks.

 
948 posts. I may have solved the problem. I recently added this mod: Full Dialogue Interface. When I removed it with Vortex the problem went away. My guess is that this mod can be used if you manually install it carefully. Something about string folder there is a post I saw when I read further down. It is not an auto download type file.. Most options in dialog, base-building and items is LOOKUP FAILED!? I have removed the game and removed any files i could find that are related to the games. Tried reinstalling it. I have no mods nothing that modifies game files. Any and i mean any idea what causes this or what could be a fix ... On console there’s a lookup failed fix mod. Apparently the creation club broke a mod and that mod fixed it for me on Xbox. Without deleting any of my current mods.I don't even have any mods installed and never did.
