The ever-increasing 3D application makes the point cloud compression unprecedentedly important and needed. In this paper, we propose a patch-based compression process using deep learning, focusing on the lossy point cloud geometry compression.The lab relocated to the third floor quiet reading room while Studio 300 was rebuilt. Although we couldn’t deliver all the services during this phase, we adapted the approach to maintain the momentum we’d been meticulously building before the opening.
