Shift spells do make use of School-Specific blades and bubbles, as well as universal. Shift Grendel can be boosted with Fire Blade, Wyldfire, Balanceblade, etc. Shift spells can critical. School-specific critical does not work for them. It must be universal (like Vengeance). The Pierce effect from the new Global Spells does impact Shift damage.Old death blade used to be the highest at 40% now I think they all are 35%. Was the highest along with ice and life. These 3 were +40. Life, Ice, Death all used to be 40% and Fire, Myth used to be 35%, Storm used to be 30%, and Balance has always been 25% IIRC.
